My cat died 2 days back.
I had adopted her on 16th of June. And she had been having health issues since her first vaccination. She initially had stomach and chest flu. And was on medication for 21 days which was extended for another month. Finally she was doing so much better in September. The same time my father was admitted for a small procedure and was diagnosed covid positive. Suddenly my cat again fell sick with a bout of flu ie. Sneezing all the time. I assumed it’s a same flu and continued her medication. Then a few days ago she stopped eating properly, I thought it’s the congestion, started feeding her with a syringe and she ate and finally 4 days back she got a major seizure early in the morning. I rushed her to the vet where he told me she has liver issues jaundice and most likely anemia. They treated her for 3 days and then suggested I put her down. She died the next morning at home.I could have saved her if I has rushed her to the hospital when she got the flu or din eat properly. I wouldn’t have lost her. This guilt is eating me up and I am not able to concentrate on anything else.
Luna died because I was irresponsible.
