Recently my parents agreed to watch my nieces and nephew but then chucked the responsibility on me (I’m in my early twenties and I don’t have kids) well my nephew woke up at 2 in the morning crying and wouldn’t calm down for about 20 minutes I was hugging him and rocking him I kept asking him what’s wrong but he just kept crying..I put my hand over his mouth I didn’t press down or anything just covered it to muffle the sound…I yanked my hand back about a second later… I’ve heard stories about traumatizing children from doing that I can’t believe I did it and it makes me want to cry…he still played with me the next day….but is it possible that I hurt him in any way mentally or physically?
