I’m a girl who converted to Islam 4 years ago. Being Muslim has changed my life for the better and I feel very happy and close to God now. I don’t like how it is changing my view in some ways however. When I watch news reports about the Middle East I feel sympathy for my Muslim brothers and sisters, even when they commit horrible acts of violence (which they are also the victim of). I’m a peaceful person, but these sympathetic feelings make me feel guilty.

You can’t feel guilty about propaganda the news spreads. Yes there’s definitely violence and crimes committed, but on BOTH sides. If what you see in the news bothers you… in all honesty TUNE OUT! Turn the TV off, stop reading articles.. their job is to push fear, hate, and negative emotions and anyone buying into that crap is feeding the machine.
Follow your faith and what you believe. Disregard all else. That being said if things arise in your faith that make you question things..then by all means question things. My mother was born and raised Christian..she met my muslim father and converted and followed it deeper than him.. he saw it was right to have multiple wives but from his point of view which was just sleeping around and they didnt work out.. She now converted back to christianity…So in the end you just have to follow whats right for you..not what someone else tells you.. not what screens and news paper tells you… You have the power to put all that down, no one is forcing you to be a part of that.
If you were truly a Muslim you would have used “Allah” instead of “God”. So take your lying, pretentious liberal ass home and keep quiet.
What is wrong with you? Have somne respec. God and Allah are the same. The fact that she uses God instead of Allah doesn’t make here a liar.
