My parents expect something that I can’t give them, they say in my grades they only care about how much effort I put into and what I get doesn’t matter but then they tell me what I am suppose to get because I’m capable of it and I’m just scared that I won’t do what they want me to, that I won’t be able to live up to those high held expectations

Set your own standards, parents don’t know shit, they only know what THEY want for you. It’s important to do well but on your own terms, my parents standards were so ridiculous when i was a teenager i ended up leaving school/home over it, and later in life they realized their mistake.
