Edward and Mary Elizabeth watched Morten and Ingrid from the top of the hill. A young man and a woman hugged each other, just like the two geese clung to each other on the lake. When she was with Edward, Mary would forget about her worries. They were seeing each other in the forest in the morning while Mary’s husband slept, and also in the evening.
Twilight was a beautiful part of the day in that landscape. The sun was setting below the horizon, flocks of birds were looking for a roost… and Mary knew she had to return to the country villa. Her lover Edward, once a shepherd and now a lumberjack, kissed her once more and buried his head in her ample bosom.
Mary realized she actually felt happy that her husband had suggested they come to the countryside/village. As long as they were there, Mary would wait for Edward, in order to spend time with him in the grove. There they would make love to each other and cuddle.
They were twin flames.
