Mary Elizabeth and her husband Henry went on a winter vacation to a ski resort. As always, Henry spent most of his time with his company and Mary hoped that this trip would come as a refreshment in their monotonous married life. Unfortunately, it turned out that Henry wasn’t particularly interested in winter joys like skiing and ice skating. His family went on vacation with them. Henry’s brother would often sit with them in the restaurant. As she drank her cup of hot chocolate, Mary felt her brother-in-law’s eyes on her. Suddenly, she felt someone’s hands caressing her from behind while she was unpacking her suitcase. She thought it was Henry, and when she realized that it was actually his brother, she broke away from his embrace and explained to him in a cold voice that she was not interested. He resigned, albeit disappointed.

Mary decided to take a walk in nature in order to banish the gloomy thoughts of how unlucky she was in love. It was then when she saw a familiar face. She was right; it was Alois. It was very unusual that the two of them met for the first time on a trip when her family and she were at the spa. Now they met again on the mountain. They embraced, elated that their paths crossed again. Alois wanted to enjoy winter sports with Mary. This physics student understood sports almost as well as science. They had coffee together in one of the nearby hotels, stood in line for the ski lift and rode the cable car. When the cable car was at the top of the mountain, the lovers kissed. Soon they were making love in the cable car cabin. It was an unforgettable experience. When parting, she promised herself that she would go to the suburbs of London again and meet Alois. It was an interesting winter.
