There is a lot of controversy these days over methods of execution, with Alabama abandoning lethal injection in favor of a gas mask.
My suggestion is the Brazen Bull. We can fill stadia for public executions. The condemned will arrive via one of those airplane staircases, then be placed into the large brass bull. A fire will be lit below and the condemned will roast to death. Thanks to a complex series of tubes and stops in the Bull’s head, the shrieks of the condemned will come to the crowd as the most melodious of bellows, as smoke pours from its nostrils.
