I am a literature teacher. I tell my students and everyone else I know I love reading. My facebook cover photo is a set of books. I am on a first-name basis with the people at the book store, and I have over 1400 titles in my home library.

But the truth is, I HATE reading. It’s boring and I only have a little bit of free time every day anyway. I like stories, and I like people thinking I am well educated, but when it comes to actually sitting down and reading one of these novels, I only do it about once per year. I’ve been reading “Dune” since I got it last Christmas, and I am only about halfway through it.
