My son doesn’t cry when he’s hurt, but he will cry when he’s throwing a hissy fit or he’s scared. I mean even when he was and infant I rarely ever heard him cry.I really thought this was strange but my husband said to not be concerned about it and that I shouldn’t be wishing for crying babies.

I reluctantly let it go, but now my toddler is walking. He runs into things, bumps himself, stumbles and falls down. But he never cries when he’s hurt.(I want to cry)

Although last month I got very concerned after my son shut is fingers in one of the lower cabinet drawers.It was one of the drawers I had no way of baby proofing.When his fingers were caught in the drawer it was like he didn’t even notice.At first I thought maybe it just didn’t hurt him. But halfway through the day I noticed that two of his fingernails were bruised.( I felt horrible)

I told my husband what happened but he just said that we have a tough little man and I shouldn’t worry.I couldn’t help it, I was worried.So I took our son to the doctor, but the pediatrician just said that this is what toddlers do. They run into things, bump themselves, fall down and occasionally get bruises and it’s okay.

I know toddlers bump into things, fall down and can get hurt. But when they do, they often cry.My son doesn’t cry when he’s hurt.I don’t even think he knows when he’s hurt that he’s in pain. I want to take him back to a different pediatrician, but I’m afraid that I’ll be told the same thing.
