I am feeling more and more discouraged that I will never end up doing anything useful with my life. I go to work (part time retail–I am college educated and a smart woman) and then come home and sit on the internet, accomplishing nothing because the job market s****. And I’m single, even though I think I’m attractive and someone that someone would want. I don’t meet anyone and I don’t know WHERE to meet someone, but I refuse to settle because I deserve someone good. But it’s so frustrating to have nothing going the way I thought it would go when I was in college and even high school. The world isn’t as kind as I thought it would be, and it’s discouraging to feel like a waste of space and not have your parents understand the way things are, because it’s different than when you were in my place.
So here I am, 27 and basically broke, living pay-cheque to pay-cheque, stuck living at home when all I want to do is fly away. I just feel stuck, stagnating and rotting with my feet tethered to the ground, water slowly rising up. When do I choke? When do I drown. I need a door or window to open somewhere.
Hell. I’ll take a crack in the wall and dig it open with my fingertips.
