I make a little under $200K per year. After taxes, that’s about $9000 per month that comes and goes through my checking account, and it’s still not enough. I’m still losing ground on my debt. I’m not being frivolous in my spending – just feeding and clothing my family. It’s been like this for 15 years now, and I’m starting to realize I will never be out of debt, despite my high income.

I read that the average income for a family my size is $40K. I honestly don’t see how anyone can survive on that.
