19. The boss and I talked and got to know each other.
I found out that he is the way he is because as a child he was continuously being pushed around in school and put down in front of girls all the time. He’s grown with no wife and no children. Hasn’t had a serious relationship with anyone. Had an abusive pushing father nothing he did was ever any good. He’s come to know me as a type that has limited amount of friends. Lost my girlfriend to another dude I wasn’t friends with but knew. Raised my stepdaughter since birth and adopted her with her biological father’s consent. Knows I’m a considerate quiet type. And looks at me differently. We’ve come to an agreement that this would continue as a working relationship and help each other. He told me no matter what happens with the present arrangement, I’ll always have a reliable income. He’ll always find something hopefully we can end this in a clean way. We’ll work on straightening those young minds to become responsible adults by letting us be seen communicating properly during other occasions. And a tank top and shorts look like a more comfortable uniform while working with the kids and no more picks from a box. Holy s*** I think he’s converting?
