You don’t even need tools to set up a guitar. You can use the strings themselves as a straight edge hold the first and last frets, and you can see the bow at the center of the neck and beyond that it’s feel and tone. Not even plugged in, do it acoustically. Fine string height perfectly, tuner for intonation. Literally nickels dines quarters for pickup height, you guitar will be everything it should be, exactly. If you eyed it up, everything is straight down the neck evenly, over the pickup pole pieces, it’s well build, you will get exactly what it should be. So other than bling, which isn’t much, what would make a $6000-$10000 guitar better than a $1500, although you can get even cheaper, flat dull finish LP Specials for $1000 which are probably awesome. I saw a double cut full cherry red Les Paul Special with P90 pickups for 3799 a few years back and immediately think of one of my favorite guitarists Izzy Stradlin of GNR with the TV Yellow Special during Use Your Illusions. You Could Be Mine.
