it’s pain and guilt. if i reject my mother’s wishes about me not wanting to do the house chores because of my tiredness from my school activities, i’ll be called an ungrateful child. if i do it, i’d say absurd and horrific things about my family behind their back, talking to myself and God. i don’t want to make more of those comments, it makes me feel like i am making my mother even more disappointed in me for not doing it sincerely. i don’t want to do it, but i have to because i live comfortably with her assets. the other problem is how the men acts in my home. my brother is just a lazy knob, he can’t even wash his own plate. my dad, mans can’t even throw away the maggi seasoning packet. if i talk about it to my weirdly right-leaning liberal mother, she’d say it’s a women’s job to work in the household. then she goes on to compare me to my neighbors’ son who is the same age as me. she can’t seem to make an excuse when i say she should compare the neighbor’s child to my brother instead, who is already in his 20s doing part-time jobs while the kid was 15 and doing chores that’s considered a women’s place to do. in his pre-historic age he can’t even wash his own plate without being screamed at. my dad, well. he’s turning 50 next year so it’ll be a nuisance to talk to him as well. old people in my country are a bit fussy so, yeah. got into fights with my mom for the wrong kind of soups. should’ve just give him the ingredients he wants and make it himself. he literally mansplained the growth of a tree like everybody doesn’t know how tree grows. my mother is hopeless sometimes, she grew so many grey hairs while my dad, just wow. jet black hair. no stress lol. he will literally ask us to do the most easiest tasks known to mankind that he can do with his perfectly able body. i just want to say to my mother to divorce my dad, get my brother to actually grow a pair to do the ‘girly’ house chores and that our own Prophet Muhammad SAW did his chores in the household and treated women as equals. (my mom likes to being religion sometimes so yeah) that’s it. end
