The natives tell the story of the Frigatebird. This young female named Helen met a male that she liked. They were courting each other and were almost ready to mate, when they found out something terrible. Namely, they had the same mother but different fathers; therefore they were half-brother and half-sister.
Unable to accept the harsh reality and yet unwilling to stay in the family nest, Helen stood up to her mother and her friend. She left behind her parents, her half-brother Andrew and her twin brother Callum. Helen took off and the air currents took her all the way to an island somewhere in the North Sea. She lived there as a hermit, which after the severe disappointment she had suffered, did not seem too difficult for her.
Legend has it that her spirit still circles the cliffs and rocky shores, waiting for her brothers to join her.
