Last night I felt like cleaning. I swept the floor and decided to be nice and sweep my roommates bathroom. I noticed their bathroom was pretty gross and smelled weird so I decided to try and clean it. I ended up doing a deep clean: cleaning toilet, scrubbing the tub, mopping the floor. I did it while one roommate was back home and the other was asleep.
Today I walked in from work and one of my roommates asked, “did you clean our bathroom?” I said yeah. She told me “That’s weird. I would never touch a persons toilet. blah blah blah.” I ended up saying, “well I thought you would appreciate it”
I’m kind of irritated I literally spent at least an hour cleaning their bathroom and I got this reaction. I wasn’t doing it for their reaction, but I didn’t expect one to totally ignore it and the other to tell me that was weird.
*Side note: this summer I worked as a maid at a hotel, so cleaning bathrooms isn’t too big of a deal for me.
