Got a call from the caregiver’s daughter (who is also caregiver, that I was having a compensated “relationship” with for months, as I had with more than one caregiver in the past, and that knowledge on her part had been why she had approached me about a for hire intimate thing). She told me she and her mother had a very long talk about several things that she wants me to know about. That her mother had calmed down somewhat after laying into me and my mother both for obvious and understandable reasons. She told me things were not as bad as I likely felt they were or that she was worried they might be for her or me either one, and that she and her mother have discussed some things that might actually have found a solution of sorts. Nervous about it but dying to know as well. She did tell me that I should keep the news from my mother until we talked at least, because neither she nor her mother were sure what my mother’s reaction would be. I promised I would not say anything to my mother until talking to her, because aside from the guilt my mother felt about my behavior was bad enough, as well as the risk of it impacting their working relationship with my mother and obviously their income as a consequence. I mean I get that because this is a mess of a situation that I created nearly entirely (but not completely) myself, and I had not talked to my mother since this blew up but I would not be available to avoid this with my mother forever.
