The Potato Chip Controversy. When I was a kid, you could get 16 ounces of Jay’s potato chips for $1.99. There were big chips, medium/small chips, and a lot of junk at the bottom that we threw out. Today a bag of Jay’s is only 10 ounces, and the cost is around $3.49. The controversy is why with a smaller bag, that costs more, still have all that crumbly stuff at the bottom? If you are going to get less for more, at least increase the number of quality chips, and get rid of the junk at the bottom. I swear they have three dispensers: Crumbles first, then medium/small, finally the quality chips are on top. You always eat the best chips on top and get more and more disappointed as you work your way down the bag. That first Crumbles dispenser needs to be eliminated.
