I would think that forgiveness is one of those things that happens. It just happens. You can’t expect it. You can’t find it. You can’t even expect to see it happen or feel it because it’s not your business. It’s not your place.
So that’s the question. If you can’t expect to get anything out of it, remember, nobody is obligated to give you anything, especially their time, so you can’t expect that. So you get forgiveness which you can’t see or feel. Now what?
Do you see? What does it matter? It does not compute for me. It’s just one of those things. The only reason I can see for you waning forgiveness would be that it means you can be close again to the person you wronged? So what if that is not an option? You are not desirable to them in whatever way. They want no part of you anyway. Does forgiveness matter then? Again, is this religious thing? Or is there a selfish motive behind it?
