One of my best friends died of Hiv, Syphilis complications over 2 years ago and today would have been his 47th birthday. He contracted Hiv in 2011 when he fell suddenly very ill. Further tests showed that he had neurosyphilis that was very advanced. They were able to treat the syphilis but it had already damaged his heart. It is heartbreaking to not have him in our lives anymore.
