Professionals, social media pundits and many others tell us that depression lies to us. But maybe it’s the only thing that shows us the truth. I know I’m worthless. I offer this world no value. Depression reveals this. Let’s me know I’m garbage. Let’s me know that the only relief is Ending it all. There is nothing worthwhile in this world. There is no real joy. It’s all lies and illusion. Dopamine highs. I see the reality and the reality is I am worthless. I provide nothing, consume and destroy. The only logical solution is my destruction.
