I think no one will ever look past my physical condition. I can dress up and put make up on, I can be the smart girl, I can be the funny girl, I can be the charming girl, the easy-going girl. I can share their taste in music or movies or their philosophies on life. I can try twice as hard as other girls, but it will never be enough. No one will ever dare to ask me to be their girlfriend.

They can spend the night talking to me. They can compliment me. They can be impressed with me. But still, they prefer to keep their distance. No one wants to date THAT GIRL. At first I was cool about it. I didn’t need a relationship either. So I spent a lot of time getting to know myself and shaping my own personality. But now I’m getting terribly lonely. And here I am, sitting with this huge personality, many things to tell, many things to share – but no one to share it with. It frightens me that no one will ever sincerely get to know me because of one small flaw on my body.

You know that obnoxious girl from my class that everyone hates? They call her fat, stupid and annoying, and no one can ever say anything nice about her. Well, she has a boyfriend. She has someone who bothered to get to know her. They call me pretty and smart. But I have no one. And I will watch my friends as they find someone to grow old with. I will watch them as they start their families. And I will bury my head in my career and say to everyone that I’m fine, because THAT GIRL can’t afford to show everyone that she is really a pathetic cliche. I will pretend that I’m above everything, but every day, my body and mind are aging, and I’m longing for someone to get to know me now, while I’m still young and full of dreams, because each day brings me closer to dying alone. I can’t stand it anymore.
