I guess I should just be glad people even read books anymore, but the trends annoy me.

When I was a kid it was Harry Potter. They’re good, I admit, though they lost my interest after the third book. Then Twilight took over. Ugh. Awful crap. Supernatural romance was the in thing. Now it’s Hunger Games and similar stuff, kids and young adults in future oppressive societies. . Oh and let’s not forget 50 shades of crap.

Why don’t the good books become popular anymore? Is it people people are so vapid that they can’t grasp anything well written and detailed? Someone told me Tolkien’s work is crap and boring. Um, excise me? He was the father of modern fantasy and he created an entire world with races, histories, languages, locations… he was a true master of literature. Stephanie Myers isn’t good enough to be gum on the bottom of his shoe!
