A few days ago my mom called me cute/pretty, and I asked her to stop because it doesn’t feel genuine when she compliments my appearance.

She caught an attitude with me after I said that even though the reason it isn’t genuine to me is because she spent much of my childhood snarkily reminding me that I wasn’t skinny.

I wish the stupid b**** would just stop talking to me.
