The problem I have with ‘Christmas music’ is the damned lyrics. Example, you ask? Try this little ditty of verbal dirrhea, “When you’re in town we can build a snowman, he’ll ask are you married, we’ll say no man, but you can do the job when you’re in town”…Yeah. ….Re-read that and let it sink in. You just asked a f*****’ snowman to ‘marry you’? WHAT. Yeah, coz’ that’ll hold up in court …or on a visa application. How did it ‘talk’ Let alone, why would you ask it to marry you? Why would go *there* Okay, let’s move on. …How about ‘Taking a sleigh ride’ and as the lyrics go, “dancing” Yeah, ok. So you’re on a sleigh… presumably moving at that point, and you’re ‘dancing’ on there? You ever been sledding? Same difference. Most of the time, you’re gripping in grim fear for your life, barely in control of directional steering, and here *you* are dancing atop it? Yeah, ok then. Don’t insult us. Look, I’m all for having fun, but let’s keep the reckless sledding and performing arts on moving vehicles out of your ‘talking to snowmen acid-trip’ …See what I mean? And this is just 2 songs. There’s endless b******* out there all around the Christmas up-beat jazzy improv. theme, and we’re all acting like it’s perfectly okay while the Koch Brothers are r***** the earth and poisoning every-one of us and leading us to an untimely death. Happy mutha’ f*****’ Christmas, assholes!
