My bf and I are long distance, since he works in a different state and travels all over for work. He’s been in love with me for over two years, we became romantic a year ago, and started officially dating this summer. The longer we’re together, the more I realize how hard it is for him to bear us being apart. It’s hard for both of us, but I’ve been noticing a sense of depression building in him. He doesn’t make his own schedule and so never knows when or where he’ll be traveling so we can’t even regularly schedule visits. Neither of us enjoy touching ourselves, and prefer the help of our partner, so we go months without. As a public figure, in the past he’d been accustomed to women sending him n*** photos which he could relieve himself to. He describes it as his frustrations when he isn’t able to relieve himself. However, that is a boundary I have for myself and not something I feel comfortable doing. Meanwhile, random women often send him n*** photos which he doesn’t care for. He wants to see me. When he brings it up though, it seems like he feels uncared for by me not wanting to do that. He describes the other women in stating that it would have been nice to receive those images and would’ve helped him with his frustrations and that at least someone wanted to. I know I would feel a lost sense of dignity and sense of resentment towards him if I did succumb to that request. I love him and have invested so much of myself emotionally in this relationship that it’s hard to see him so down and me feeling this sense of pressure. I know we both have the right to choose whether or not to continue this relationship, but I am just struggling with the current situation and with the idea of ending us so he can be happier with someone more compatible and comfortable with fulfilling that kind of request.
