Everyone around me is telling and expecting me to get married. But this is not what I pictured at all. Honestly, marriage is just not at the top of my to-do list. And if I’m getting married I am not going to say yes with him just nonchalantly asking ‘Should we just get married?’ – Uh is that supposed to be a proposal? No thanks. And someone else, ‘Well you’re not getting any younger.’ Well marriage licenses are not going anywhere anytime soon either SO! And really what does that have to do with marriage in the first place?? Smdh. I don’t care how long we’ve been together, I’m so turned off by marriage right now. It’s just a damn paper with legal constraints. How does that benefit us at all?
