I reckon a lot of liberals in the media industry voted for Trump. Naturally he would produce more controversial headlines over time than Hilary over time, also he has the potential to blacken the Republicans reputation forever. More clicks= more money for them, and Trump is a kind of weapon that could backfire. Win win for them.
