I’ve known my partner for 18 year’s and We’ve dated for 10 year’s. We’ve made a life together, bought two homes, travelled the world and been loyal companions to each other. However, I can’t repress the feeling of wanting to be alone.
I often have thoughts of wanting to be single, to explore my spirituality and sacrifice certain things such as; S**, being a parent and so forth. I feel deep in my heart, he deserves the best and most in life. He’s been my best friend, confidante and lover. I love him enough, to let him go. He deserves the world and I don’t think I can give him that.
He’s the most beautiful souled person I’ve ever known and if I make this decision of ending our relationship, I will regret it. However, this is a decision I have to make for myself. I know he’ll be hurt and it breaks my heart knowing this – But in the long run, I believe he’d be grateful, I don’t know if that’ll be true, Who knows?
I will never meet another person like him and I don’t intend to – My sacrifice is to lead a singular life without a partner and solely commit myself, to a life of spirituality, selflessness, abstinence, veganism and giving to others. My partner deserves to have unconditional love, a family, marriage and happiness. I can’t give him anymore than I have already, without sacrificing my soul’s true existence. We both deserve to lead a life, we want for ourselves. Life is too short as it is, to have regrets.
