So one night me and my friends got really baked and decided to make a run to Tbell. Which where we live, involves driving through a wooded area. Well at the time I was the only one with a DL so I had ro drive. One thing you should know about me before I go any further into this story is just like most people I’m complicated, but unlike a lot I have a massive heart and an affinity for animals. Back to the story, I’m driving through the aforementioned woods hitting about 40. I’m f****** lit. When out of nowhere a rabbit runs out in front of me and I hit it. I slammed my breaks and looked back to see it twitching in the middle of the road covered in blood. I immediately sobered up and started crying. My friends who should all be ashamed of themselves, made fun of me for this. That I was crying because I ran over a rabbit. Like f*** you. I just took somethings life away. I may not have done it with my bare hands but I still killed it. And that s*** weighs heavy on my heart and soul, like you have no idea how much empathy I have and what emotions feel like when you’re that tuned in. It’s not easy being an empath. Emotions good or bad hit you like a freight train. Like some inconceivable force that renders you powerless against it. I can’t help but to feel. And to this day I still feel horrible about what happened. And I know I always will.
