To say that the Germans have to be ashamed of their National Socialist past is b******* to me. This is a country where 30 people a day would come to your door for a bowl of soup and a piece of bread to keep themselves alive. I don’t support Nazi’s but if I was alive in this era and was aware that Hitler could bring Germany out of this depression I would have voted for him to. As far as the army was concerned they were just defending their country. It’s the SS that people should be directing their hate onto.
