If there’s one thing I could say being abused and kept isolated as a child/teenager it’s this, it gave me a lot of time to formulate my own opinions on things. I don’t think like everyone else and I think that’s a good thing. Because it’s easy to follow what everyone else does, it’s harder to follow your own heart/mind. But on the same token your more emotionally vulnerable and susceptible to losing focus. peopep who have been abused have triggers that can sometimes make being logical hard. And that’s the toughest part about being abused. It’s not about surviving the initial abuse, it’s about being able to handle the world when it’s over.
