I gambled away $2,000 over the course of a few days online. I’ve gambled away more than $10,000 over my lifetime but this time hits hard because i’ve spent the past few months saving up, working a job. Now i’ve quit that job and the week after i’ve gambled all of my money away. I succeeded in achieving my goal of buying myself my own car though and that’s something I didn’t expect to do so soon. So i’ve achieved a goal of mine and i’m happy about that. My car gives me freedom and it feels good to say i’m going to do something and then go do it. It just seems kind of pointless that I wasted $2,000 on a gambling site when I… if I had known I would just be losing it all… I could have just spent it in some much better way.

I think next time I have some amount of money that I don’t know what to do with… if I feel like gambling to gain more… instead I will spend it towards some goal for myself or charity – I don’t know – but I promise I will not gamble online again.
