My cousin and I were making a crazy drink with a bunch of flavours of kool-aid powders, and I accidentally spilled the powder on the wood counter which didn’t have any finish on it, and a bunch of knife marks in it. My cousin thought it was a good idea to use a damp cloth to wipe it off, leaving a HUGE blood red stain on the counter.

So you can imagine what we thought when we know my grandma is insane about having a nice, clean, orderly kitchen, and would probably kill us if she found a huge stain on her favourite cutting counter which looked like we butchered someone’s leg off on it.

We scrubbed at it for over an hour, with baking soda and soap, and halfway through my grandpa walked in and we tried to hide it behind us– he took one look at it and said “keep scrubbing, you don’t want them to find the body.” We didn’t anything back and eventually cleaned it all off.

To this day no one but my cousin, my grandpa and I know about it, and I’m not sure if my grandpa was joking around when he said to hide the body….
