Many of you missed the point. It’s not about that not being a valid thing to want. It’s just more often than not people with that mindset frown upon people that don’t see that as their life goal.

The reason why people are frowning on it more today, is because it’s natural to want to carry on your lineage. Even if you only have one child and still do other things. Also there are places like Japan, where the elderly have now outnumbered the young.
