I’m sure the poster isn’t thinking about who has to find their body, take it where it needs to go, who has to go through their shit and get rid of it, the fact that all their friends and family have to stop their lives and drop everything for a funeral around Christmas, the thousands of dollars a funeral costs, and what an asshole everyone will think about the poster as long as each family member and friend they went to school with will think they are. Jenny jumped out a window 2 years ago and all I think of is “Asshole.” I don’t feel sorry for her or anything, I just think “Stupid Jenny.”
S put a shotgun in his mouth 10 years ago. His younger sister is now a meth head who’s in and out of prison, sells herself for drug money, and has had all her children taken away from her by the state. S used to read them bedtime stories of his fav fantasy novels. They’re now fucked up and in foster care and their favorite uncle just vanished when they were 4 and 6. His mom, who’d been sober for 29 years, decided wtf is the point anymore and has gotten so drunk every day for the last 10 years, she has a permanent drawl to her speech. His dad found his headless body in his car, they had to sell their house because of the goddamn memories. His mom couldn’t even afford a funeral, she just scattered his ash without telling any of his friends and then spent time in a psych ward.
But hey, at least S doesn’t have to worry about anything anymore.
