Today I went to the doctors because I have really bad periods like imagine your period but 10 times worse for 7 days straight I’ll put a few pads on and I’ll wake up in a huge puddle of blood , the doctor is having me take pills to stop my period like I won’t have a period at all should I go through with it?

That’s essentially what birth control pills do. I’ve used contraceptive implants for years for the same reason. I haven’t had a period in over a decade. It was the best decision I ever made. People who haven’t experienced it have no idea what it’s like to try to live with it.
Try it but find a second opinion. There could be several reasons for the insane gushing. You can’t stay on those RXs forever. If you are very young now be aware that your flow will normally decrease with the years.
