Soooo I have depression and BPD apparently by most of the therapists and guidance … and it runs in my family -_- so yeahhhh.
Anyways I need some advice, should I take perscriptions? Oooor not?
Like is it going to actually help me? Or will it just make it worse? Because my dad told me it made his BPD worse.

  • I think it depends on the person. Im sure meds help for some people, but not for others. Try taking some medications and seeing which ones work best for you. If none seem to help, then dont take them or ask a professional what you should do. Best of luck to you!

  • I’m not far enough in my journey with mental health to be giving you any advice, but I can offer one small comfort- if you haven’t already heard it, you should listen to the song “Runs in the Family” by Amanda Palmer. It’s super cathartic to listen to. helps me, anyway

  • Try medications and therapy to get the most out of it. Not all medicine is the same and it can take awhile to figure out what works for you

  • Dude believe me you don’t need medication and it has nothing to do with your family, one thing you have to do,travel to the most poor country in the world some place in Africa see how the people suffer just to get food water supplies, you will feel much better and greatful just to have an internet connection and a smart device that helps you confess here.
    Best of luck.
