To: One of my instructors is being an asshole and not letting me fix an assignment for them to re-grade after I messed up on it only because the instructions for it were extremely unclear
Me: If everybody else who submitted their assignments got it right and you were the only one who did not understand the instructions, means you should have asked an instructor before submitting your assignment to understand the procedure, or you could have asked someone else in your class, what they thought the process was – so you got it right.
If the same rule applies to everyone re: One of my instructors is being an asshole and not letting me fix an assignment for them to re-grade after I messed up on it – then you don’t have a leg to stand on and you deserve the mark you got – so better luck next time.
If your feedback does not reflect the feedback of all of the other students, then you will be seen as a pariah and the instructors will isolate you and pick on you for giving them a bad score and they will pass the message that you are a cunt, between themselves, so they can get to you during the remainder of your studies, without appearing to, because they can and you can’t do anything to stop them.
Ultimately, if you want the scores you expect to get, for work prospects later on, alienating your instructors now, does not seem to be a good way to go about it, in my opinion.
Good Luck with that.
Can’t you submit an appeal to the Dean in charge of the instructors, explaining your confusion at submission and ask for a re-grade, rather than taking the instructors on head first and you losing out, instead?
