To R from guy caught with dog: thank you again so much for your advice and support. The dinner with them last night was odd and strained as the subject was avoided. But, my father in law swung by to pick me up, and on the drive was somewhat reassuring and said that when we had a chance in the very near future he wanted to have a talk with me about all this. My mother in law drove me home and said the exact same thing, that she wanted to talk about things, just the two of us, because she was very concerned that my father in law was not taking this seriously enough. I am obviously uneasy and my wife is not due home till this coming weekend, but i am at least not quite as freaked out nor fearful and panicked.
