To: Why does each generation think the one right after it invented doing stupid s*** for stupid reasons? Me: I agree with you totally and what you say is a point well made.
When I went to Rodney Boarding School in England (look it up on Google) as a kid, there was a boy who sat at “my” table for meals who had lost his fingers and toes in an accident and whenever we (about 16 per table) had sausages, eggs and baked beans, he would wave his finger-less stumps at us and say we were eating his fingers – which put us boys off our sausages so much, he ended up eating them all. I still don’t like sausages. I was asked what my favorite number was, I did not have one, so I chose 7 and 7 has always been my lucky number. I was asked what food I didn’t like – well there was nothing I didn’t like, because my parents beat me if I did not eat all of my food, so I chose Chocolate Cake and to this day, although I love Chocolate anything, I won’t eat Chocolate – strange eh!!
Rodney Boarding School, when I was a kid, was just like a Victorian “Tom Brown’s School days”, without the Pub.
