When I was young (around 5-6 yo) I was able to dream while I was still awaken, but sometimes it happened against my will and became awaken nightmares. Like this one I remember pretty well : I heard some robotic noises getting closer and closer. I hid myself under my bed, seeing some humanoid shadows with shining red eyes. They slowly came to my bed and stopped just in front of it. I was only seeing their feet at this moment. The noise stopped and I was holding my breath. And suddenly a hand came under the bed to grab me. It made me scream and when I did it, the hand and all the robots disappeared.
