Dudes, I am slowing down. I just turned 57 and both my thumbs hurt and my right knee is fucked up and I played a 2-hour high-intensity show last night (I’m a musician!) and at the end of the night when I was loading and unloading my truck full of gear, I felt like the truck had run over me a few times. I’m saying this here because I won’t say it to anyone I know, esp. my girlfriend, who is 26 and I’m not sure she knows how the f*** old I am because she never asks and I never tell. I do have all my hair (dyed light brown) and I’m fit as f***, I bike and lift and swim 7 days a week and I’ve just never fallen to complete s*** like so many my age, I wear the same size pants that I wore in 1990, so I got that going. But, geez, the end comes for everyone no matter how much brown rice and yogurt you eat or how many crunches you do. It’s not like you drop dead, you watch your body and face deteriorate. Thanks for listening…

  • Why the dislike? That doesn’t make any sense.

I hear you man. I’m mid 40’s in fantastic shape too, I look much younger than I am, better than most my age and I hear ya. It happens to everyone eventually no matter how good you are.

  • Brother keep up the great work! You sound healthy in body mind and spirit, with the way you are going with the upkeep you’ll be good for years. Keep that androgel in your pocket tho.

    Your pal,

  • Sounds like you’re doing pretty well. I’ve got a fried who’s 60 and has got similar vim and vigor. I’m 40 and I wish I had those muscles and stamina–and hair!
