Please do not name your kid “Dylan” or “Lennon,” the rock stars. Name them after someone who isn’t in entertainment. Instill in your child that pop culture isn’t the point of society, the point of society, if you lean that way, is lessening the suffering of others. When there is an elderly woman on your block who can’t get out because she can’t shovel her own walk, go and shovel it and, if you must, whistle “Imagine” or “Like A Rolling Stone” as you work. But don’t name your kid after a rock star just because that rock star meant something to you. Just enjoy the music, don’t make it your whole life. John Lennon is dead and Bob Dylan doesn’t give a f*** about you.
