I’m enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree programme that I no longer wish to pursue…or at least I thought it was what I wanted. It was actually my parents’ choice. Unfortunately I’m on a scholarship and am bound by rules which state that I will complete all the requirements for my current programme this year and graduate next year. I didn’t mean to, but I have fallen in love with the field of computer science called networking. I did an introductory networking course this summer and have this desire for more. I also love what I’m studying at the moment but I just have this feeling that Networking is the field for me. My parents wish to see me graduate with a degree in software engineering though, and I love them so much that I don’t want to disappoint them…even if it means disappointing myself? Kinda s**** when your life is not your own, eh?
