The OP is probably in a country that the U.S. protects, but doesn’t pay their fair share into NATO. This year the U.S. spent $716 billion dollars for defense. You seriously don’t believe we’d need to spend such an amount to protect our nation alone do you? That money could be better spent elsewhere if we didn’t need to be the global police.
