I think people can marry whoever they want (consenting adults). But I don’t think anyone should be asking government permission or paying a fee to get married.
I can see why Gays would like the rights of marriage that a normal marriage would have, but at the same time I don’t want to encourage it for our children’s sake.
I don’t like HOW it was legalized in the States (federally instead of state-by-state), but I’m glad it’s no longer an issue. I never heard a good argument against it.
Let’s be real. If it were up to individual states we’d still have slavery. Black people and women couldn’t own property or vote. Children could be forced to work. People are by and large shit.
Equal rights aren’t like pie. Everyone getting the same rights doesn’t decrease anyone else’s rights.
