If you are currently in North Carolina, can be moved without dying, and are staying, the local government should be allowed to make you sign a do not rescue waiver: agree/disagree?

    • Worth risking multiple rescuers to save one retard who didn’t listen when every expert out there said gtfo? Besides, maybe it’d make it sink in that this might be kinda bad and convince them to leave.

  • They should at least be required to demonstrate that they can and will cover the financial cost of their own rescue. I don’t want my taxpayer dollars going to some idiot who said “nah, brah, this is gonna be EPIC!!” The people who are bedridden and couldn’t be moved safely is a different story.

  • That’s like saying a suicide victims that jump off a bridge shouldn’t be saved by a rescuer. Rescuers sign up for the tough jobs mate. They know it’s not all mac and cheese. There’s tough jobs too and these are the tough jobs. These rescuers risk their lives to save those that need saving and that’s why they are heroes.

    • If a crippled person accidentally fell off the same bridge, I’m going to expend my resources and risk my ass saving the person who actually wants to live. I’m sure some of the people in NC are just there because during the evac they couldn’t have been moved without probably dying.

      • we need to save the people who choose to jump off as well the fuckin main cause of suicide is chemical imbalance. its not that they dont want to live its that they physically cant want to live
