I hate when I read a book and the main character turns out to be gay. It’s not that I have a prejudice. It’s just that these kids are written like the f****** author had no idea what a gay person was. Like they just wanted to write about lesbians kissing or gay boys having s**. I wish somebody would write a book about somebody who didn’t need somebody else to realize they were gay.

  • Honestly I’m bisexual and all of these books are written like somebody just has the Hots for someone of the same gender. Like whenever I read books about lesbians it’s always about the like hot Mexican girl or like the fiery redhead or like the blonde Beach baby. Like Jesus Christ can’t somebody fall in love with normal somebody else from school?

  • This is one of my biggest modern fiction pet peeves, in these TV shows and podcasts everyone has to be either gay/bi or in an interracial relationship.

  • Yessss oh my godddd it’s so annoying! I hate how you always have to have “the token lgbt+” that authors cram into the story for diversity points!

  • Honestly, I wish somebody would write a book about a girl who knew she was gay since she was a little girl. Because lots of people knew they were gay since they were little.
