Was flipping channels on the radio in the car yesterday and saw “Ed Sheeran” come up. Figuring, what the hell, he’s pretty popular, let’s check him out. In 10 seconds, I thought, “Ok, this isn’t too bad.” By the end of the song I thought, “This guy is f****** horrible, he’s a grown man with zero testicles.” Shut it off. Another Sheeran song came on later and – dear f****** GOD, this guy S****! One note Charlie, stupid lyrics, same feel from start to finish. What the hell happened to music? THIS is what’s selling MILLIONS of copies?

My favorite band is Mindless Self Indulgence, my favorite songs of theirs is Shut Me Up, Prescription, and Evening Wear
Who the fuck asked you what your preferences were? This post is about how Ed Sheeran sucks. And the bands you mention suck too. Popular music died around 2000. Maybe earlier. Everything now is how the band looks, but otherwise, same same same same same same same same same same same samesame same same same same samesame same same same same samesame same same same same samesame same same same same samesame same same same same samesame same same same same samesame same same same same samesame same same same same same
I don’t get the appeal to Ed Sheeran either, he’s fucking terrible. ??
FM radio/billboard charts are for people who don’t care about music. Don’t let the radio fool you and feed you crappy noises.
There’s much better music out there, you just have to look for it. Bandcamp, last.fm, youtube, spotify, pandora, etc.
Oh wait last.fm isn’t probably a good site.
You got that right. I mean, Ed Sheeran’s popularity isn’t hurting me or anyone, so this isn’t the end of the world, but MILLIONS of fans and MILLIONS of YouTube views? Do people just not know the difference between good music and bland, formulaic, repetitious pop and actual music with melodies and chords that vary, that gets softer and louder, changes keys maybe, and lyrics that have depth and nuance?
Either most people don’t have the time or are just too lazy to ignore what the billboard charts play and explore/dig deeper for better music on the internet.
Finally someone fucking says this shit
